Kelly-Marie Gibbs FISTD LIDTA
Kelly-Marie has been dancing since the age of 3 at a local school in Berkshire, where she had success in the both the All England Dance Finals and Miss Dance of Great Britain. Following the distinction she received for her B-Tec National in Performing Arts, Kelly-Marie gained a scholarship place at London Studio Centre where she trained in Musical Theatre. After some time dancing professionally, Kelly went back to re-train as an ISTD teacher in both Modern Theatre and Tap dance. She passed all her teaching qualifications with distinctions, including 98% for her Modern Certificate in Dance Education and 92% for her Licentiate in Modern Theatre Dance and recently achieved her Fellowship Qualification with the ISTD.

Kelly has been teaching for over ten years, working along side various Performing Arts Schools, Dance Schools, full-time Theatre Schools and Colleges, She has a 100% exam success rate, with the majority of students gaining distinctions.

Kelly has a passion for Jazz, Modern & Tap dance and enjoys choreographing within these genres. Her work has been performed in various professional venues including Her Majesty's Theatre, London and Disneyland, Paris.

Kelly founded Azure Theatre School in December 2007, and has successfully grown it so that it now has over 200 pupils across four centres, She is enormously proud of her pupils' achievements and looks forward to the future of Azure Theatre School.

Angela Humphreys
Senior Teacher (Ballet, Modern, Tap)

Angela Humphreys

Angela started dancing at the age of three and within a few years was spending all her spare time at The Margaret Dixon School of Dancing in Sutton. Between the ages of six and 20, she performed in many different stage productions, including 14 years with The Carshalton Pantomime Company and four years with The Torch Theatre Company. She achieved ISTD Advanced 1 Qualifications in Imperial Ballet, Modern Theatre Dance and Tap Dance.

Angela then went to University to pursue something completely different and attained a MEng Degree in Civil Engineering with Distinction! However, she continued to dance ballet for fun!

Now a busy mother of two boys, Angela has continued her training at The Linda Sweetzer Teacher Training College and successfully completed her Diploma in Dance Education (DDE) in Imperial Classical Ballet and Diploma in Dance Instruction (DDI) in Modern Theatre Dance. She loves teaching dance and hopes that her pupils will get as much enjoyment out of it as she does.

Yolanda Beulink
Senior Ballet Teacher

Yolanda Beulink

Yolanda commenced her early dance training in Christchurch, New Zealand. In 2006 she graduated from the New Zealand School of Dance with a Diploma in Dance Performance. Since graduating, Yolanda has danced professionally with the Royal New Zealand Ballet, English National Ballet and Cork City Ballet.

In 2011 Yolanda became a registered teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance having been awarded the Professional Dancers Teaching Diploma with distinction. She has several years' teaching experience working with a variety of different age groups and dance schools in London and Maidenhead

David Kemp
David began his training at the age of 12 at a local full-time theatre school. He then, at 16, furthered his training at Millennium Performing Arts in London.
 
Directing/Musical Directing credits include; AVENUE Q (Beck Theatre), SLEEPING BEAUTY, ALADDIN, CINDERELLA and DICK WHITTINGTON (all at Compass Theatre), ROCKIN' THROUGH THE AGES (UK tour), WILDLIFE! (Bloomsbury Theatre), BEST OF ASSESSMENTS 2012,13 & 14 (MPA), SONGS FROM THE MUSICALS (UK tour, Resident Director), CHILDREN OF EDEN, SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS, LES MISERABLES – School Edition, THE WIZARD OF OZ, HONK, BUGSY MALONE, HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 1 & 2, HANSEL AND GRETEL, SWINGING ON A RAINBOW and THE KING OF ROCK (European Tour), a musical celebration of Elvis Presley.
Performing credits; Dancer/vocalist in SONGS FROM THE MUSICALS, Natty in LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD, Doody in GREASE (Italian Tour), Singer/Puppeteer in JACK & JILL 1+2, Ensemble in BABES IN THE WOOD and CINDERELLA.
David currently shares his time producing, directing and teaching. David has been an independent producer since 2010, producing over 16 productions.

Josh Barrow
Street Dance Teacher

Josh Barrow

Josh has been dancing since the age of three, starting with latin and ballroom then progressing to jazz, contemporary, tap, ballet and hip hop.

At the age of 15 he became one of the youngest people ever to win the UK Hip Hop Championships and then the World Hip Hop Championships which lead to him touring different countries teaching workshops and performing at some of the greatest theatres and venues in the world.

Following this success he gained a full scholarship to attend the Urdang Academy London where he graduated with a Diploma in Professional Musical Theatre and Dance.

After working on UK tours, European tours and professional shows Josh moved into the world of teaching and found it to be his next passion.

Aimee Palethorpe
Junior Teacher (Ballet, Modern, Tap)

Aimee Palethorpe

Aimee trained at Jeaninne Greville Dance Academy until the age of 18. From there she went to gain her DDI's in Modern Theatre and Tap Dance at Linda Sweetzer's teacher training college and has just gained her DDE in Tap. Aimee has been with Azure Theatre School for a year, and has gained experience at other local dance schools.

Chantelle Constable
Junior Teacher (Ballet, Modern, Tap)

Chantelle Constable

Chantelle has been dancing and performing since she was 3 years old and over the years has performed in numerous dance school shows as well as four pantomimes and two shows with the Russian ballet.

She recently achieved her ISTD Diploma in Dance Instruction in Tap and Modern and is now training towards her Diploma in Dance Education in Tap and Modern.

Sophie Spillane
Musical Theatre Teacher

Sophie SpillaneSophie started dancing at The Susan Handy School of Dancing at the age of 4, before going on to Stagecoach at the age of 6 where she first met Miss Kelly.
Sophie transferred to become one of the first pupils at Azure Theatre School when it was founded in 2007, and went on to achieve her ISTD Intermediate Modern and Tap Qualifications. She then studied for a 2 year BTec Performing Arts course at Redroofs and also completed her DDI Modern and Tap teaching qualifications.
Sophie loves singing and performing, and has been involved in many local performances, including performing at the Wycombe Swan and the Hexagon Theatre. She began assisting for Miss Kelly when she was 15, and has now become a very popular, well-loved teacher for Azure. Recently she has also worked as stage management for some local productions at the Desborough Suite, and is now going to study a 3 year Stage Management course in Birmingham.

Ashleigh New

Ashleigh New

Ashleigh trained at The Runnymede School of Dancing from the age of 3 in Imperial Classical Ballet, ISTD Modern, ISTD Tap and Jazz.
During this time Ashleigh gained a Level 2 BTEC National Diploma and GCSE in Dance at school with distinction. From there she went on to study at Brooklands College in Weybridge for 2 years achieving a Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Dance also with distinction.
She then went onto complete her DDI teaching qualification in Modern Theatre at The Linda Sweetzer Teacher Training College.
Ashleigh has been with Azure for 3 years now and enjoys every second.

Charlotte Hayes
Drama Teacher

Charlotte HayesCharlotte started Musical Theatre at the age of 12 at Stagecoach, where she grew a real passion for it. She then transferred to Azure in December 2007 when it was founded, to dance Modern, Tap and Musical Theatre. With her time at Azure she also studied A-level Dance, BTEC Dance and A-level Drama at Strodes College in Egham.
Her final show with Azure was Peter Pan where she played Wendy. She then left Azure to go to De Montfort University to study a performing arts degree BA (Hons) and gained a 2:1.
She then helped with the next few Azure productions backstage, with costume, props and looking after the children. She is now teaching drama and musical theatre at azure whilst assisting many ballet, tap and modern classes.

Vicky Ellen
Teaching Assistant

Vicky EllenVicky Ellen has just graduated from Millennium Performing Arts. She has been studying dance since the age of 3 three, starting with ballet and then continuing with jazz, contemporary, tap and commercial dance. Although Vicky started singing and acting later at the age of 14, she discovered a passion for it and wanted to explore all three disciplines further. She went on to complete a BTEC extended diploma in Performing Arts (DANCE) at Amersham and Wycombe College, before continuing with a pre-vocational course at Bird College. She was then awarded a Dance And Drama Award to study at Millennium Performing Arts. She’s had many performing opportunities including High School Musical on Stage with the company Songtime, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty Pantomimes, Qdos Entertainment, also many shows with Suzanne’s School of Dance at the Beck Theatre, "Wildlife” Millennium Performing Arts Yearly Show and most recently has choreographed and performed as a dancer with Emerald Kitty Entertainment. Alongside her performing she also teaches dance, including ballet and jazz, in and around London, which has also given her opportunities to choreograph for shows and weekly classes. Vicky Ellen aspires to be a West End performer and one day to have her own dance school. Working with Azure Theatre School will allow her to gain the teaching experience to facilitate her future dreams.

Robin Ridout
Acrobatic Teacher

Robin RidoutRobin has a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Education from the University of Louisville, one of the America's leading Cheer and Dance university programs.  She also holds 3 graduate degrees in Education, Physical Education, and Sport Management.   She is a former NCA staffer and State Director.   She was the Choreographer and Head Dancer for the San Antonio Warriors Professional Football  and Central Texas Stampede Hockey Dance team. She has over 35 years of Teaching and Cheerleading and Dance coaching experience.  Along with her education and experiences; she has choreographed for teams and trained coaches all over the U.S.,U.K., Costa Rica, Mexico, and Germany.  She is currently a local, regional, and international cheer and dance judge  for Varsity Europe, Jam Brands Europe, ICC, Future Cheer, Legacy Cheer and Dance, Cheersport Wales,  American CheerPower, Varsity and Jam Brands, Cheerleaders of America, American Championships,  and Cheer America... to name a few.   Robin is a Safety Certifier/ Coach's Educator and served as the State Director of South Carolina for the National Council of Spirit Safety and Education. She provides Safety Instruction Classes for coaches in the US, Costa Rica, UK, and Canada.  She has trained/tested successfully under the American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Advisors (AACCA) and Safety under USASF in Cheer and Dance. She has written, published, and instructed many educational workshops for the Sport of Cheer and Dance.

Kat Hitti
Singing Teacher

Kat HittiKat has been training in the Arts from a young age and completed all of her major dance exams in ballet, tap, modern and jazz, studied piano and vocals and then went on to train at the London Theatre School. She was later scouted for girl group Espree where she performed alongside UK artists Lemar and dance crew Flawless and US artists Joe and Omarion. She was also a member of girl group Dice and was featured on XFactor 2010 where they reached bootcamp before going their separate ways.
She was a member of street dance crews Myxology and Femme Fatale who were Southern Street Dance Champions and has featured in music videos for N Dubs, Wretch 32 and Kray twins to name a few.
Kat has been a session singer for Channel 4s Singer Takes It All and ITVs Stars in their Eyes where she won both pilot shows and was also a featured singer on 2015's Guitar Hero. She has also written with Garage legend Sticky and had radio plays on BBC 1XTRA, KISS 100 and Choice FM.
Kat has over ten years teaching experience specialising in group vocal harmony and street dance and has taught for many schools and companies in and around the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire areas.

Courtney Gowers
ISTD & Street Dance Teacher

Courtney Gowers
Courtney has been dancing since she was 3 years old with a local dance school in Buckinghamshire studying ISTD Tap, Modern and Jazz, RAD Ballet and Street Dance. Making her mark when she achieved her ISTD advanced 2 tap exam at an exceptionally young age.
Courtney used her dance skills along side her training in figure skating, and began her teaching career as a figure skating coach, which she has now done for the best part of a decade.
In addition to this, Courtney has extensive experience in teaching dance, at her own school in St Albans and a variety of local schools.
Courtney has attained her ISTD DDI teaching qualification in tap at The Linda Sweetzer Teacher Training College and is now continuing to extend her training.
